Fred Zara is a portrait, beauty and fashion photographer currently based in Paris. He worked as a model in France and internationally. During his travels, he gradually began self taught photography. Starting with landscape and life style photographs during travels in India in 2007, he later switched to fashion photography in South Africa in 2008 where his daily life was surrounded by models and artists. An internship at the famous Parisian studio "Pin Up" enabled him to attend many inspiring photographers such as Gilles Marie Zimmerman, Peter Gehrke, Fred Farré, Nathaniel Goldberg or assisting fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco from June 2012 to July 2014, in France. In 2015, he worked on different productions for Vogue magazine, Numéro magazine, Elle magazine and Nike to name a few with Sala prod.
In order to improve his skills, from September 2015 to September 2016 he enrolled in the European Master program at SPEOS photographic institute in Paris.
Polaroïd, films, collodion and digital serve its various achievements. In his photography he looks to sublimate his models and especially to reveal a personality trait. They say the eyes are the mirror of the soul and Fred Zara comes with subtlety "glimpse" the soul of models he photographs...with his soul.
